Another investment is headed to the logistics center in Podunajské Biskupice, hundreds of jobs could be created

Nearly 600 new jobs could soon be created on the outskirts of Bratislava in Podunajské Biskupice. Another investment is heading to the local logistics center area.

MULTIPURPOSE HALLS

According to a plan submitted for environmental impact assessment, the construction of two new multipurpose halls is expected to cost approximately 50 million euros. Construction could begin in the second half of next year.

“The logistics center will feature multipurpose halls for rent and storage, such as for electrical appliances, audio-video equipment, household appliances, office supplies, computers and their components, consumer goods, building materials, and food,” the plan states.

INTEGRATION OF THE AREA

The halls are also intended for distribution, light manufacturing, assembly, commercial activities, and services. The area is situated on the right side of the D4 highway heading towards Austria, near the existing Bratislava-Podunajské Biskupice junction – Exit 13.

The main reason for the proposed activity’s location is the integration of the area into the city’s structure. The development and growth of towns around Bratislava are associated with increased demands for services, logistics, light manufacturing, and civic amenities. The total built-up area is expected to be nearly 47,000 square meters.
